Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Meinero, LLC (“Stick Shift Media,” “we,” “us”) collects, uses, and shares information when you visit stickshiftmedia.com (the “Site”) or contact us. We keep data collection to what we need and do not sell your personal information.

1. Information we collect

Information you give us. When you submit our contact or intake forms or email us, we collect what you provide - typically your name, email address, phone number, business name and details, your message, and, for project intake, business information and any files or images you upload (for example, logos and photos for a Google Business Profile).

Information collected automatically. When you visit the Site, our infrastructure provider (Cloudflare) automatically logs standard technical data such as your IP address, browser type, device information, referring page, and pages viewed, for security, fraud/bot prevention, and to keep the Site running. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, a privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics tool that does not track you across sites or build a profile of you. See our Cookie Policy for details on cookies.

We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal information (such as government IDs, financial account numbers, or health data) through the Site, and we ask that you not send it to us.

2. How we use information

We use the information to: respond to your inquiries and provide quotes; deliver and manage the services you engage us for; set up and manage a Google Business Profile or citations on your behalf when you ask us to; protect the Site against spam, abuse, and fraud (including via Cloudflare Turnstile); comply with legal obligations; and, only if you have opted in, send you occasional updates. You can opt out of non-essential emails at any time.

3. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as needed:

• Service providers (“subprocessors”) who help us operate and deliver services, under contracts that limit their use of the data. These currently include:
  • Cloudflare - website hosting, content delivery, bot protection (Turnstile), privacy-friendly analytics, and, for intake tools, database (D1) and file storage (R2).
  • Google - where you engage us to create or manage your Google Business Profile, we access and manage it as an authorized manager of your Google account (we never take or store your password).
  • BrightLocal / Whitespark - local citation building and monitoring, which involves submitting your public business name, address, and phone number to directories.
  • Fastmail - our email hosting, used to send and receive email with you.
  • Content or SEO production vendors - only when your project uses outsourced content or optimization, and only the information needed to produce it.
• Legal and safety - when required by law, subpoena, or to protect our rights, users, or the public.
• Business transfer - if the business is sold or reorganized, information may transfer as part of that transaction.

4. Data retention

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law. Contact and form submissions are retained for 24 months, after which they are deleted. Active client records are kept for the life of the engagement and as long as reasonably necessary for our legitimate business, tax, and legal obligations. Uploaded assets are kept until your project concludes or you ask us to delete them. We then delete or anonymize the information.

5. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, to opt out of certain processing, and to withdraw consent. If you are in the EEA or UK (GDPR) or California (CCPA/CPRA), those laws give you specific rights, including the right not to be discriminated against for exercising them. 6. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information, including HTTPS encryption in transit, bot protection, and limiting access to data. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Children’s privacy

The Site is intended for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

8. International visitors

We operate in the United States, and our infrastructure (Cloudflare) may process and store data on servers in the U.S. and elsewhere. If you use the Site from outside the U.S., you understand your information may be transferred to and processed in the U.S.

We may update this policy; the “Last updated” date shows when. Material changes will be posted here.
